03 Days - Sapa Ecolodge hiking & biking package

Day 01: Comfortable drive to Sapa and take a biking tour to Topas Ecolodge (-,-,-)
From 6:30 – 7:00 AM, you will commence from your hotel with Topas Mountain Express for a 5 hours transfer to the mountain town of Sapa. You will have lunch at a local restaurant at your own expense.
You will then get on your bike and start descending into the Sapa valley, observing the fantastic scenery of mountains and rice paddy fields along the way. You will have opportunities to get off the road and visit the Black H’mong village and be charmed by the unmixed culture of the Black H’mong minority, who has special skills in making agricultural tools, wooden furniture, musical instruments and jewelry. They are also famous for their hemp production and indigo dying.
You then continue the ride to the remote hilltop located Topas Ecolodge. After checking in your bungalow, you will enjoy the beautiful and peaceful view of the surrounding mountains and valleys from your private balcony.

Approximately: 3 hours biking/ 23km/elevation up 180m/ down 900m

Day 02: Explore the most remote land of Sapa (B,L,-)
The Red Dao village of Nam Cang is 20km from Topas Ecolodge. At 8:45 AM, you have a drive to the village, enjoying the picturesque views of peaky mountains, endless rice terraces, waterfalls and Hill tribes’ villages on the way.
Nam Cang village locates at the far end of the road. The Red Dao women wear some of the most colorful and diverse costumes of all Vietnam’s ethnic groups. Herbal bath, local medicine and embroidery are some of the things that the Red Dao are very skilled at. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore around the village and learn how the local villagers make writing paper, jewelry and embroidery. You then have your lunch at the Nam Cang Riverside Lodge, enjoying the peaceful life on the banks of river.
In the afternoon you can choose to relax at lodge, make more visits to the village, take a swim in the river or join a trek to explore the beautiful surrounding nature. The 3 hour moderate trek starts with an ascent to a small Blue H’mong village, but from here it is mostly straight and downhill with a beautiful view to the high mountains, waterfalls and the deep valley. In the mid afternoon you will have a transfer back to Topas Ecolodge/ Sapa town.

Day 03: Biking to Lech Dao village. Take Topas Mountain Express to Hanoi (B,-,-)
After enjoying your breakfast, you will start the cycling trip by following the main road for three kilometers to Lech village of the Red Dao minority, observing the magnificent valley view on the way. Here you will leave your bikes and take a short walk on dirt road to visit a traditional Red Dao family, where you experience the culture of the minority villagers who are living peacefully the same way of life as their ancestors. Back at the parking place, you will take a further ride to the new Lech village, where you will take a longer break to learn how the women in their doorways doing their embroidery, which the Red Dao people are very famous for. From the village, you ride back to the lodge.
At 14:00, Topas Mountain Express departs from Topas Ecolodge, pick you up if you are in Sapa town, and return you to your hotel in Hanoi.

Approximately: 1.5 hours biking/ 30 minutes walking/ 8km/ elevation up 220m/ down 170m

– Ethnic Mountain Express can only pick up and return passengers at hotels/ residence in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
