Day 01: Hanoi – Lao Cai (-,-,-)
Depart from Hanoi in the evening by night train to Lao Cai near the Chinese border. You can choose to go by private car from Hanoi at 12 AM
Day 02: Trek along rice fields to remote Nam Cang Riverside Lodge (B,L,D)
Arrive early in the morning in Lao Cai and have a transfer to Sapa. After breakfast you will meet your guide and soon you are on your way into the most remote part of Hoang Lien National Park, driving downhill to the starting point in the Tay minority village of Thanh Phu. The hike is through rice paddy terraces hill sides and you have many opportunities to enjoy magnificent valley view and encounter animals as water buffalos, mountain goats or pigs, which belong to the nearby Tay and Red Dao minorities.
When you pass by a new village you will realize that you are “off the beaten track”, as the local people are looking interested and happy. All along the trail you will have a beautiful view towards Hoang Lien mountain range and some of the biggest rice fields in Sapa area. You lunch is picnic lunch, served in beautiful surroundings. After lunch you will pass by one of few colorful Blue Hmong villages in the area. Soon the walk ends in the small and remote Red Dao minority village of Nam Cang. Your accommodation is Nam Cang Riverside Lodge, situated few meters from the river with own suspended bridge and with the jungle close by. The lodge is owned by a local Red Dao family and built into a small Inn with several twin or double rooms. The afternoon is perfect for exploring the quiet village or a swim in the river.

Day 03: Trekking along rivers and remote hillsides (B,L,-)
You will wake up to the sound of the river and maybe happy minority kids swimming near the lodge. And maybe you would like your breakfast served at the big river front terrace and a beautiful morning view?
Today your hike will take you higher up in the mountains, the trails are only used by local farmers and you will need to cross a few rivers before visiting a very remote Red Dao village of Nam Ngan. Your small group can enter a house and see the living conditions in the deep mountains, maybe you will be served a cup of tea or an optional rice wine as hospitality is important to all. Now the trail will decent into a bigger path and soon you will be in My Son, the village of one of the smallest tribes in this area, the Xa Pho minority. After a local lunch you will end your remote hike near the beautiful Muong Bo River and a waiting car for final transfer back to Sapa.
At 17h00, take the shuttle bus from Sapa to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 04: Arrival in Hanoi (-,-,-)
The train arrives in Hanoi early in the morning and your trip ends here.
