06 Days - Saigon & the Mekong Delta

Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 01: Saigon
On your first day in Saigon, you’ll check into your luxury hotel, the Park Hyatt Saigon. Explore the nearby sights and sounds of this vibrant city. The hotel is ideally located close to the city’s grand Opera House, as well as numerous other tourist hotspots.

Day 02: Saigon
See what Saigon has to offer on a colonial tour, where you’ll be shown around numerous intricately-detailed colonial structures. Next, you’ll be taken to Chinatown, also known as Cholon, where Thien Hau Temple is a particular highlight.

Day 03: Ben Tre
Today you’re going on a road trip, to the picturesque town of Ben Tre, an area that’s quite far off the tourist trail, where you’ll set out on the mighty Mekong for a river cruise. In the evening, you’ll be treated to your very own private sampan, a traditional flat-bottomed wooden boat, with its own team of wait staff who will look after your every need.

Day 04: Can Tho
Today, a 90-minute drive will transport you to the heart of the Delta with a trip to Can Tho, the Mekong River Delta’s largest city. Begin your day with a countryside tour near Ben Tre, followed by a trip to the Ben Tre Museum, where you can learn about the history and culture of the Delta area. From there you drive to Can Tho where the stunning colonial-style Victoria Can Tho will be your resting place this evening.

Day 05: Saigon
Wake up early to make your way to Can Tho’s incredible Cai Rang floating market, then visit the riverside food market, where you can shop for everything from tasty treats to locally-sourced handicrafts. With a bellyful of tasty Vietnamese food, you’ll return to Saigon for your final evening at the elegant Park Hyatt Saigon.

Day 06: Saigon
Today is your last day in Saigon, and your final opportunity to catch anything you’ve missed since your arrival in the country. Check out a bird’s eye view of the city from the soaring heights of the Bitexco Financial Tower Skydeck, or be entertained by a traditional water puppet theater show. Today, the choice is yours.
