Da river is only 2 hours or 75km from Hanoi. This province is home to the Hmong, Muong, Dzao and Thai ethnic minorities. The area has changed a lot since the largest hydroelectric power station in Southeast Asia was built here, turning the Da River into a lake. Still, even today the province boasts some of Vietnam's most beautiful scenery.

Following breakfast at hotel. We leave Hanoi at 07.30 for the drive to Hoa Binh. Once there we will visit a Giamo village, home to the Muong hilltribe and have a lunch in alocal restaurant, depending on the weather. After having met the local villagers we will continue on for a look at the enormous dam to enjoy a boat trip on Da river to visit inland Halong bay understand life on water of locals. Back to Hanoi around 17.30.
