Day 01: Hanoi – Kho Muong villages ( L, D )
07h30 Leaving Hanoi city after breakfast at hotel, you travel along Ho Chi minh trail through spectacular mountain scenery, rice (Continue hiking Pu Luong nature reserve) . On arrival at the village on the afternoon, this village is perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam nestled between steep karst mountains and terraces. Soft visit KhoMuong cave. Spend the first night in a house on stilts in typical Thai village of Kho Muong.

Day 02: Trek to Nua & Hin villages (Continue trekking Pu Luong national park) (B, L, D )
After breakfast, you will leave the homestay and continue trekking through the valley on unpaved road. There are some steep climbs and yet more stream crossings. Trek to an incredible cave, only recently discovered and now protected by the Forest rangers. The trekking becomes more remote yet one is never far from a villager tending fields, passing steep limestone mountain, rain forest inside the Pu Luong Nature Reserve to Nua village. Lunch will be provided en route. Relax from the heat of the day before continuing on to Hin – the village of Thai people in the afternoon. Have dinner and spend one more night at a local home.

Day 03: Hin  to Hieu village (Continue trekking Pu Luong  ) (B, L, D )
Leave Hin village, you will trek uphill. You will get in deeper inside the Pu luong Nature Reserve with wild and rich tropical forest. Lunch will be provided en route. After lunch, continue trekking through Am beautiful village to Hieu village. Take a break and stretch your legs on the house on stilt of Thai people or strolling round this village and to be in contact with hospitable friendly local people here. Enjoy swimming at waterfalls to refresh after a long day trek. Dinner and overnight in Hieu village on house on stilt. 

Day 04: Trek to Pho Doan Market then drive back to Hanoi (B, L)
Today you will have a nice and easier trek, just a bit up and down through rice paddies, jungle fever. After 2.5 hours we get to Pho Doan Market ( Every Thursday and Sunday). Car Pick up  and transfer back to Hanoi.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve, A hidden gem
The Pu Luong limestone landscape is an area of outstanding beauty, culture interest and high biodiversity value stretching from Mai Chau in the North to West to Cuc Phuong national park in the South East. It is blessed with rich forest, limestone panoramas, magnificent rice terraces and breathtaking scenery.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve was established in 1999 is roughly 170km from Hanoi. Being a nature reserve with a total area of 17,662 ha, 3/4 of the nature reserve is primary tropical forest. This is also living place of ethnic Muong and Thai people. Pu Luong means the highest peak of the village, in Thai language.

Recently, Puluong Nature Reserve becomes a great destination for a few day trips from Hanoi. Trekking in the forest and a long rice paddy fields, cycling through the reserve and visit many beautiful small villages are among the activities travelers like. Pu Luong is among a few "off the beaten path" places near Hanoi that receives recommendations from explorers recently.

Scenery is beautiful with two ranges of mountains on both sides creating a lush green valley in the middle dotted with traditional villages. The locals here are among the most friendly people in Vietnam. You can always be invited to their homes for a cup of tea on your way. The local culture is rich and authentic. Villagers are living in small villages nested in the valleys, in their traditional house on stilts. Joining on a dance after dinner is always an unforgettable experience. The best time to visit Pu Luong is during rice harvest season, from September to November or February until May. This time, the plantation is lush and weather is pleasant. Pu Luong can be best accessed either from Mai Chau or NinhBinh. Multiple day trekking through va to Pu Luong on the least visited trails is also a good option for trekkers. Trekking through villages including Ban Sai, Ban Hang, Ban Kho Muong or Ban Hieu and stay in one of the authentic homestay is the best activity one can do here. There are options for everyone including families with small children. Trekking tours:
Our tour including a half day trekking in Mai Chau and Mai Hich before entering Pu Luong Nature Reserve through Road 15C. The scenery is breathtaking with mountains, forest, river, cascades and terraced rice fields. Villages visited including Ban Sai, Ban Hang, Ban Eo Ken, Ban KhoMuong and Ban Hieu. Homestay or eco-lodge is available in Mai Hich and Ban Hieu village.

Cycling tours:

Sceneries change every day, from green paddies of Mai Chau and Mai Hich valleys, through the forest of Pu Luong nature reserve and the towering limestone peaks of Ninh Binh, to Halong, Lan Ha and Bai Tu Long bays.
